With Moments, every post has its own audience. Here’s how it works and who the app is for.

The Total Control You Need

If you've ever felt that what you share on social media is exposed to an overly broad audience, let me tell you that Moments is the ideal solution. This app gives you total control over who sees what post. With six different audience levels, you can decide exactly who gets to see your most private moments.

Imagine this: you've had a great night with friends and want to post some photos from the afterparty. Instead of sending them to your 400 followers, you can use a custom list called "Friday After" where you include only the people who were there with you. This way, you keep those intimate memories within the group without worrying about prying eyes.

Audience Levels: More Customization

Basically, the six available levels are:

Everyone: anyone can see your post.
Mutuals: only users with whom you have a reciprocal relationship.
Best Friends: your trusted close list.
Custom: choose specific people without needing to use saved lists.
Custom List: create specific lists like "Family" or "Work".
Only Me: perfect for keeping a private visual diary.

Everyday Control

Let’s take another example: suppose you want to post a story about something awkward or personal; you can restrict it to just your mutuals. This way, you ensure that information doesn't reach the gym group or work colleagues. This specific level of control simply isn't found on other social networks like Instagram, where options are limited to general public or close friends.

Echoes and Memories

Apart from controlling your audience, Moments allows you to create Echoes. This feature lets you capture events from different perspectives using geolocation and share them only with mutuals within a specified range (500 meters) for a limited time (24 hours). Imagine being at a concert where everyone records from different positions; later, you'll be able to see all those echoes together and even vote on which was the best moment from your individual perspective.

Story Chains for Sharing Unique Moments

We also can't overlook Story Chains, another unique feature. You can create collaborative stories during a trip or event where multiple users can add content for up to 48 hours before it automatically closes. This makes reliving those shared moments much more fun without leaving behind any important anecdotes.
